Trp. Marvin L. Titus 11/21/1991 Trooper Titus was on duty in Bamberg County when he was pursuing a stolen vehicle. A scuffle ensued between the suspect and Trooper Titus after the suspect ran off the roadway. Trooper Titus was shot by the suspect and later died from his injuries. The suspect was captured and convicted of murder.
