Tfc. Eric Francis Nicholson 12/6/2000 Trooper First Class Nicholson was on duty in Greenville County when he was shot and killed during a traffic stop. The suspect was later captured during a shoot out with law enforcement. The suspect was sentenced to death and his accomplice was sentenced to twenty-five years. First Class Nicholson was a two year veteran of the Patrol and was a native of the state of New York.
