William Pierre Lancaster 6/9/1932 Patrolman Lancaster was on duty when he was involved in a collision on his motorcycle with a horse buggy in Florence County on June 8, 1932. He died as a result of his injuries the next day. Patrolman Lancaster was the son of a Spartanburg County magistrate and had been a patrolman for six months. Patrolman Lancaster was the first patrolman to die in the line of duty. |
