Ptl. Edward M. Hennecy 11/19/1935 Patrolman Hennecy was on duty in Florence County when his motorcycle struck the railing of a steel bridge due to frost. Passing motorist attempted to take him to the local hospital, but he died on the way. Patrolman Hennecy was a five year veteran of the Patrol and a native Georgetown County. Patrolman Hennecy also had a brother on the Patrol stationed in Spartanburg County.
