Sunny left from a friend's house to come home, and less than three miles from our house, I lost my sunshine forever! It was only 12 days after she graduated high school!
We got to open her acceptance letter to college the morning she died! I was only 18 myself when I gave birth to Sunny. So, I know we kind of grew up together. Sometimes acting more like sisters than mother and daughter. But we had finally gotten through most of the crazy teen-age stuff and had a newfound respect for each other.
I always admired her for her determination. She knew what she wanted and she was going after it! She loved her family even though she called us country rednecks! And she loved her friends just as much! Her Granddaddy was her knight and shining armour and she was his life.
I'm glad he was there to welcome her into heaven! Sunny or Sissy ... as Corey and Brandon, her lil brothers called her, loved them too!
She would be running them off the phone are out of her room. And Lord help them if they went near that car!! She was a homecoming queen, cheerleader, the tomboy in the mud fights in the back yard.
She was so many things but most of all she was my heart and now there is a hole there. But my angel is still going to change the world just wait and see!!!
To be continued.............
