Saegan was born May 07, 1994, in Columbia, South Carolina. Saegan attended Bethlehem Baptist Church were he was a member of the Sunday school and youth choir. He was a student at Hampton Elementary School were he would have been starting fifth grade this year.
Saegan was a bright, lovable and compassionate young man who loved his family and everyone he came into contact with. His classmates and teachers say he never failed to brighten up their day. He was always smiling and laughing and having a good time. He enjoyed playing basketball and baseball. He is my baby boy, and I love him so much.
On Monday June 07, 2004, just one month after he was 10 years old, someone disregarded a stop sign and collided with the truck that he and his mother were in. Saegan died of a broken neck.
They say that he passed contentedly but that is no comfort to me. My boy is gone. Unlike his mother, who he lived with, I was unable to spend the time that I wanted to with him because of my job having to travel so much. And as soon as time did permit that we could spend more time with each other, I lost him. He will always be remembered in my heart. I can still hear him saying HI DAD – I LOVE YOU.
From his mother: Saegan was and still is my muse...I miss him. I love him and there's nothing in this world to replace him. The void that is in my life will never be filled. But we all must go on as he wished. There's not a second that goes by without him being on my mind. Bless you, Saegan, and watch for Papa. He will, be there with you soon....ILYA....Mother.
