Mr. James Edward Hemingway Sr. was a husband, father, and grandfather who is truly missed by his family. He was taken away from us unexpectedly by a drunk driver after just leaving his granddaughter (Briana's) 4th birthday party.

He was well known in the Popular Community and if there was anything you needed, he would not hesitate in assisting you in the best way he knew how. He was a very hard worker doing his salary paid job by day and when he knocked off from that job, he worked as an automobile mechanic at night. He was just starting to relax and enjoy the retired life after becoming ill. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and they miss that quality time tremendously. As a father, we thought of him as being too strict on us, but it kept us out of jail, off drugs, and with strong-willed minds, and we were grateful for that.

We will miss you, "Two Step," but we will never forget you...

Thelma (wife), Edward, Lisa, Denise and James Jr. (children), Ashleigh, Keon, Anthony Jr., Ebony, Denzel, Briana, Kianna, Jaheim, and Terrence (grandchildren) -- those left behind.
