The tragic death of this 21-year old young lady, who was just starting to live her life, ended the night of Father's Day as she left work. Charlene, who had just started her career at The Regional Medical Center, clocked out of work at 11:33 p.m. By 11:45 p.m., her life had ended as the car she was driving was struck and Charlene was killed by a drunk driver.
Charlene was a very loving and caring person who always put others and their needs before her own or herself. She always had a beautiful smile on her face even if she was not in a good mood. That is just one of the thousands of things everyone who knew her will miss. She has left behind a loving family whose lives will forever be changed. The emptiness in their hearts will forever be present. No holiday will ever be the same for them, but there is hope that with time, and all the love they have from family and friends, that somehow they will survive.
From our family to yours, PLEASE don't ever let anyone drink and get behind the wheel of an automobile. Do NOT drink and drive, you may save the life of someone who is very much loved and needed.
